NICE TO SEE YOU and HAPPY EASTER

OK.  I admit, it has been a while since I was here in this blog.

Why..Well I suppose, life, work and all the rest..never enough time for this, never enough time for that...and my most favourite thing to do suffered the most.

It is sad really. When we let life takes us where we don't really want to go.

But today I decided to come back with a few images from Connemara, images that I cherish .

So nice to see you again and hopefully I will stick here for longer this time.

By the way HAPPY EASTER

HOORAY, I MADE IT TO THE BEACH

Everyone knows we had the best summer in hundreds of years

And guess what? I didn't make it to the beach, ANY BEACH, all summer.

What can I do, I am a busy bee, I work a lot and have no time to go anywhere after work. Sad really. In a way I like it I guess otherwise I wouldn't be doing it.

Fear not, I made it to Barna beach a couple of days ago. One major disappointment though - I couldn't find my bathing suit before we left!! I had to satisfy myself with soaking my feet and the water was so warm and lovely, it was a pure torture being there and not being able to swim.

When I came home I turned my wardrobe upside down and managed to find the elusive bathing suit.

Now I am waiting for the next trip to the beach. I hope it is before next summer...

The Snowy Winter of 2018

It's been quite a snowy winter so far.

I have to admit we haven't had such cold weather here in Ireland since the Big Freeze of 2010

Frosty Connemara landscape at sunrise

I love cold and snow since I come from a country where there is an abundance of both. I love the feeling of freezing air on my face and the almost painful crispness of the bone chilling wind. Weird, isn't it?
But as much as  I would enjoy the snow and cold in Bulgaria, I don't feel the same about it here. Ireland is not used to such extreme temperature fluctuations  and is definitely not prepared for it. I do prefer a dry crispy day than a pouring rain any time, don't take me wrong.

I did not have great opportunities for photography since I was working most of the time but I managed to do a few snaps while walking the dogs.
Here you go. The images are mixed from different walks.

Warning:

I just have to add that when we talk about snow in Ireland it mainly means a light dusting of white over the scene.

Do not imagine 2 meter snow drifts.... :-)

I am writing this in January 2019 because in March 2018 I was proven wrong when the big snow started falling. Have a look in HERE
