NICE TO SEE YOU and HAPPY EASTER

OK.  I admit, it has been a while since I was here in this blog.

Why..Well I suppose, life, work and all the rest..never enough time for this, never enough time for that...and my most favourite thing to do suffered the most.

It is sad really. When we let life takes us where we don't really want to go.

But today I decided to come back with a few images from Connemara, images that I cherish .

So nice to see you again and hopefully I will stick here for longer this time.

By the way HAPPY EASTER

PROJECT Walking Connemara

2018 was a fantastic year for my photographic development, a real stepping stone. Where I go from here is all up to me.

road through the bogs, ConnemaraIt was during last summer that my new project was born. What is my project about? It is about love. My love for Connemara, my love for my dogs which I walk every day. My never dying love for photography that keeps me going every single day. And when you mix all that together all those images came out that I have been posting with the hashtag #WalkingConnemara and this is how this project was born.

Walking is the best thing a person can do. It's free, it's therapeutic, it clears the mind and cleanses the soul. When I walk I get my best ideas and inspirations.

I am also extremely lucky that I live in such an amazingly beautiful part of the world where mind-blowing scenery is literally a few minutes walking distance from any village or city.

I walk Connemara every day and I never tire of the views, rough winding bog roads, country cottages and magnificent mountains. I try to catch the amazing colours and beautiful ever-changing light of Connemara to bring happiness and joy to anyone who sees my images.

I want to make people feel better and inspired after seeing my captures of Connemara, I want them to say Wow, this is amazing, and I want to go there! And the best part is you don't have to travel far because you can just walk there with me.

Let's walk Connemara together..

Connemara Stories - early spring in Curra Forest, Co Galway

This year we had a very long winter, spring was late and the trees were bare and naked forever.

This is a compilation of videos and images straight from Connemara and its forests. Enjoy

The Snow Monster called Emma

I think that the Snowy Winter of 2018 is turning into the Winter Disaster of 2018.

In all my years here in Ireland, Honestly I have never experienced such cold. The whole of Europe is in the freezing grip of the ice monster called Storm Emma. There is a Red  Alert for the last 24 hours lasting until 6pm today.

driving in a blizzard, Storm Emma

I just read in the news that all airports are closed in most parts of  Northern Europe. Total disarray and what a big mess!

People in rural areas are snowed in without access to the main roads. It is good that everyone was shopping like mad around here, supermarkets were totally empty and ransacked by yesterday afternoon. There was no bread, water, milk or other essentials left. The queues in Tesco store, Headford road, Galway city yesterday at lunch time were as long as the isles themselves!!
It felt a bit like the Zombie Apocalypse was coming... Believe me, I am not joking.

All right, time for some photos, taken from the car (don;t worry I wasn't driving!!) on the way home in the freezing Storm Emma and I do hope the weather warms up soon, and we get our water back!!
Yes, I was one of those unlucky ones that got their water pipes frozen ;(

Why I love Early Mornings

I think, after you see these photos you won't need any explanation whatsoever.
For me, early morning is the best time of the day.

The sun is about to rise, the air is clear and fresh as if no one has taken a single breath yet and there is nobody around except me and my dogs...PERFECT

This is why I love Early Mornings
