Brigit's Garden

I 've wanted to make a post about Brigit's Garden for a long time now, the problem is I have so many photos from there it is so difficult to choose only a few!!

Brigit's garden is a wonderful place just off N59 between Moycullen and Oughterard on the way to Clifden from Galway City. You can easily spend a few hours there strolling around and exploring the grounds. There is certainly plenty to see!! From cozy cottages and crafty flowerpots, plants planted in shoes to lily pad pools and beautiful places to relax and feel the power of nature and enjoy all the beauty that nature has in her but we often choose to ignore.

This is the place where we can remember our roots and come close to what we really are and feel the presence of our ancestors.
This is a little peace of heaven in the middle of our urban jungle where we can go and forget the stress and worry and just become one with nature.

I have to add that the photos here are from a couple of years ago. I am sure there are lovely changes since then.

Nowhere in a hurry - Birchall, Co. Galway, Ireland

Lough Corrib, Birchall, Co. Galway, Ireland,

This was a fabulous place, we used to love going there.

Not anymore, because for the convenience of the fishermen the little crescent of land that is visible in the images at the back, bristling with bushes and wild grass was flattened with bulldozers. The place really lost its charm after that...

That day the light was really dreamy and luminous, there was a bit of fog drifting around, perfect conditions for photos.

These images are like a portal in time. Enjoy!!

SPRING in OUGHTERARD

Once Christmas is over I can't wait for spring to arrive.

I wait impatiently for the first green shoots to appear and that lovely fluffy greenness that wraps everything. It is always better to admire it from a good vantage point and Oughterard has it's perfect view point from the hills in Canrower.

Enjoy my spring view of Oughterard, bring some wellies though if you want to follow in my footsteps because the bogs are always full of water and very treacherous for walking!!

Dublin, one beautiful morning

Finally I managed to see Dublin in good weather.

So far every time I went there, it was during a weather warning, but I had to go for my lectures, so there was no way around it.

Walking along the river in the hushed early morning with the sun just peaking out from the soft wispy clouds was simply magical. Even the gulls were quiet and relaxed just sitting there looking at me.

Have a look t early morning Dublin, just waking up, drowsy and peaceful...
